Unit 4 Have fun after class"(Period 1:Cartoon Time)Good morning/afternoon,esteemed interviewers!I am truly honored to present my teachingplan for the first period of "Unit 4 Have fun after class",specifically the "Cartoon Time".Inthis presentation,I will comprehensively elaborate on my teaching design,aiming to createan engaging,effective,and enjoyable English learning experience for students.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThe "Lead-in"section serves as the starting point of this unit,introducing the theme with theBig Question "How do you have fun after class?"It sets three learning objectives:talkingabout the positions of people and objects,discussing how to enjoy after-class time,andexploring ways to have fun.The unit theme picture presents a hide-and-seek scene,immersing students in the learning context.A rhythmic poem about hide-and-seek is usedas a warm-up activity,guiding students to initially perceive the unit theme throughobserving pictures,listening,reading,and exploring the topic.The "Cartoon Time"story focuses on Bobby,Sam,and Billy's paper airplane competitionduring the break.Their paper airplanes fly far and land in different places,such as on thetable,in the flowers,while Bobby's plane lands in the tree.Regarding the "What",the storyclearly shows the process and result of the paper airplane competition.For the "Why",itaims to teach students the core language for describing positions while guiding them toexperience the fun of after-class activities,encouraging them to participate in outdooractivities.In tems of the "How",the story uses sentences like "Where's my plane?"and "It'son the table/in the flowers/in the tree"to teach position expressions.With vivid pictures,ithelps students understand and remember these expressions.The simple plot and interestinglanguage are suitable for students'cognitive level and real-life experience.ll.Analysis of the StudentsThird-grade students are lively,curious,and mainly rely on concrete-image thinking.Theyare eager to explore new things,good at imitation,and enjoy learning through variousactivities.After the previous unit,they have developed good learning habits,such aslistening carefully in class and following rules.They are interested in English learning andhave certain observation skills.However,they still need teachers'guidance and peerinteraction to improve their ability to imitate and output core sentence patterns,and to applylanguage knowledge flexibly in real -life situations.Ill.Four-Dimensional Objectives of Core Competencies1.Language Competence:Students will master key vocabulary and sentence patternsrelated to positions and after-class activities.They will be able to accurately pronounceand use these language elements,and understand the pronunciation rules of /f/and /v/.
