Unit 1 School Things"(Period 3:Wrap -up Time)Good morning/afternoon,esteemed interviewers!It is my great privilege to present theteaching plan for the third period of "Unit 1 School Things",specifically the "Wrap-up Time".In this presentation,I will systematically elaborate on my teaching design from multipleaspects,aiming to create a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for students.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThe "Wrap-up Time"of Unit 1 is structured with two main components:comprehensivelearning activities and the "Assessment Time"module,complemented by a"Picture BookIntegration"section.The comprehensive learning activities,including "Think about schoolthings"and "Think and share",play a pivotal role in reinforcing and expanding students'understanding of the unit.The activity "A.Look and circle"requires students to identify and circle the necessary schoolsupplies based on character images,which helps students recognize different school itemsand understand their functions."B.Ask and answer"enables students to practice keyquestion-answer sentence patterns related to school supplies,share their experiences oforganizing them,and cultivate good organizational habits.These activities aim to arousestudents'resonance,stimulate their enthusiasm for organizing and using school suppliesproperly,and encourage them to apply the learned language and cultural knowledge insharing.The "Think and share"session guides students to review and summarize the unitcontent,responding to the Big Question and promoting deeper thinking about schoolsupplies.The "Assessment Time"serves as a self-evaluation module,echoing the "Learningobjectives"in the "Lead-in"section.It allows students to assess their proficiency in talkingabout school supplies,asking about objects,and expressing their needs at school,functioning as either a fommative or summative evaluation.The"Picture Book Integration"section,corresponding to the Big Question of Unit 1,helpsstudents expand their vocabulary related to school supplies,experience the joy of learninglife,and foster correct emotional attitudes and values through reading and completing tasksin the picture book.ll.Analysis of the StudentsThird-grade students are characterized by their liveliness,curiosity,and predominantlyconcrete-image thinking.They are eager to imitate,enjoy hands-on experiences,and arehighly interested in new things.After the previous two lessons,they have a basicunderstanding of common school supplies and can actively participate in classroomdiscussions about them.However,they still need guidance from teachers and interactionwith peers to enhance their ability to imitate and output core sentence patterns,as well as tofully understand the significance and functions of school supplies in real-life leamingsituations.
