Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Part A Let'sLearn Listen and Chant"in Unit 2 "Expressing Yourself"from the English textbook forGrade 3,Volume 2 of People's Education Edition.Now,I will elaborate on my teachingdesign from the following aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis lesson mainly focuses on the learning of descriptive vocabulary related to animalcharacteristics.In the "Let's Learn"section,through the form of pictures and texts,itpresents a "Pet Show",guiding students to learn words such as "fat","thin","slow","love","tail".Students are enabled to understand the characteristics of these animals and themeanings of English words.The "Listen and Chant"part presents the learned animal-related vocabulary in the fomm of rhythmic poems.By chanting rhythmically,students'memory and understanding of the vocabulary are deepened.The rhythmic poems allowstudents to repeatedly encounter the target vocabulary in a cheerful rhythm,significantlyenhancing the memory effect.This combination of vocabulary leaming and rhythmiclanguage learning not only enriches students'vocabulary but also cultivates their languagesense and interest in English leaming.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAs third-grade students,they are still in the initial stage of English learning,with limitedvocabulary and language expression ability.However,they are full of curiosity and have astrong interest in vivid pictures and rhythmic content.The teaching structure of this lesson,which combines pictures with texts and integrateslistening,speaking,and singing,is highly suitable for them.The intuitive teaching method in"Let's Learn",which first presents words and related animal pictures,helps students form anintuitive understanding,followed by explanations of pronunciation,spelling,and wordmeanings.The independent yet thematically related words jointly fomm the knowledgemodule of "Pet Show",which is easy for students to understand and remember.Therhythmic poem in "Listen and chant",with its strong rhythm and repetition,and simple andrhyming sentences arranged in a certain rhythm,enables students to easily keep up with therhythm during chanting and remember the vocabulary.This structure conforms to thecharacteristics of children's language learning,effectively attracting students'attention andimproving their learning enthusiasm.However,students may still have difficulties indistinguishing the usage differences of descriptive words and using these words to createmeaningful texts.lll.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to recognize,read,and understand new words describing animalcharacteristics,and master their correct pronunciation,spelling,and meanings
