Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Part B Readand write Part C Reading time"in Unit 1 "Meeting New People"from the English textbookfor Grade 3,Volume 2 of People's Education Edition.Now,I will elaborate on my teachingdesign from the following aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis teaching period focuses on reading and expression.The "Read and write"section usesa form of short reading texts paired with pictures,centered around the theme of meeting newpeople.It introduces information such as people's names,identities,and places of origin.Additionally,simple writing exercises like filling in the blanks with selected words based onpictures are provided to reinforce the learned vocabulary,sentence patterns,and writingnorms.This section helps students improve their reading comprehension,word recognition,and writing skills.The"Reading time"is an extended reading material about traveling around the world andmeeting new friends from different places.With its rich and diverse content,including storiesof meeting new friends in various scenarios,involving multiple countries and different kindsof animals,and presented in an animated form,it further deepens students'understanding ofthe theme "Meeting new people".It not only broadens students'cultural horizons but alsoenriches their language input,promoting their overall language development.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAs third-grade students,they are at the initial stage of developing English reading andwriting abilities.They have basic language knowledge but still lack experience in readingcomprehension and writing expression.However,they are curious and eager to explore newknowledge,especially when it comes to interesting stories and vivid pictures.This lesson's design is beneficial for students in multiple aspects.In terms of knowledge andskills,it helps improve their reading comprehension,enabling them to extract key informationfrom texts and enhance their writing skills by standardizing writing fomats and spellings.Regarding thinking cultivation,it encourages students to analyze and summarize textcontent,promoting the development of logical thinking.Emotionally,it allows students toexperience the beauty and diversity of friendship,stimulates their enthusiasm for makingnew friends,and strengthens their social awareness and communication skills.Moreover,through reading different stories,it broadens their cultural horizons,fostering the initialawareness of cross -cultural communication and arousing their interest and love for EnglishreadingIll.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to recognize and read the words,phrases,and simple sentences in thereading text of"Read and write",and master related vocabulary and sentence patterns.
