Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Part B Readand write Reading time"in Unit 3 "Leaming better"from the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 1 of People's Education Edition.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design fromthe following aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis teaching period focuses on reading and writing,consisting of two main parts.The "Readand write"section combines short reading texts with picture matching tasks.It exploreshow our sensory organs and tools assist us in learning and perceiving the surrounding worldin daily life.The writing exercises,such as filling in the blanks with selected words based onpictures,help students reinforce the learned vocabulary,sentence patterns,and writingnorms.The"Reading time"part provides a rich reading material about various senses and tools thatenhance our understanding of the world.Presented in a combination of pictures and texts,itdeepens students'comprehension of the "Learning better"theme,broadens their readinghorizons,and enriches their English expressions.These two parts work together to cultivatestudents'reading comprehension,writing skills,and language application abilities,guidingthem to explore and understand the relationship between senses,tools,and leaming.ll.Analysis of the StudentsFor third-grade students,they are at an early stage of developing reading and writing skillsin English.The "Read and write"part follows a structured "reading-comprehension-matching-writing"pattern.First,it presents reading texts with simple descriptive sentencesintroducing how senses and tools help us acquire information.Then,students match thetexts with corresponding pictures according to visual cues.Finally,the fill in-the-blankand writing tasks based on text understanding encourage them to delve into text details andlanguage knowledge.The "Reading time"part uses a combination of non-continuous texts and pictures.With itsrich and flexible content,it demonstrates the unit's theme through comparisons ofdifferences among various things,helping students expand their reading scope and diversifytheir language expression forms.However,due to their limited vocabulary and readingexperience,students may encounter difficulties in understanding complex texts and applyinglanguage knowledge creatively.Teachers need to provide appropriate guidance and supportto help them overcome these challenges.lll.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to understand the texts in "Read and write",grasping how we usesenses and tools in learning and daily life.They will also master the meanings and usages ofnew vocabulary and common sentence patterns.
