Unit6 Usefulnumbers第4课时PartStarttoread&PartCDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for Unit 6 UsefulNumbers,the 4th period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 4th-period lesson integrates two main parts:"Start to read"and "Project:Make abirthday card".The"Start to read"section presents a story about Sarah's family celebratingher mother's birthday.This story revisits some of the sentences and words from the unitwhile introducing new words and sentences.Its primary goal is to expand students'languageinput through a meaningful discourse and gradually train them to adapt to text reading.The"Project:Make a birthday card"part includes activities such as listening and circling answers,which help students review the sentence patterns and numbers learned previously.Additionally,it guides students to learn how to read birthday invitation information,extractrelevant numerical data,make birthday cards,and express birthday wishes.These two partstogether not only reinforce students'knowledge of numbers but also enhance their languageapplication,reading comprehension,and practical skills,providing a comprehensive learningexperience that combines language learning with real-life scenarios.ll.Analysis of the StudentsBy this stage,students have already learned basic number words from 1 to 10 and relatedsentence patterns in previous lessons.They have some experience in simple Englishcommunication and basic reading.However,when it comes to dealing with more complexlanguage materials in "Start to read",such as understanding new words and sentences,andanalyzing the context of the story,they may face challenges.Moreover,applying the learnedknowledge to practical tasks like making birthday cards and reading invitations requires themto integrate multiple skills,which can be difficult for some students.Students at this age arecurious and creative,but their concentration may waver during long-term learning tasks.Therefore,in teaching,it is necessary to create engaging and interactive learning situations,use diverse teaching methods,and provide sufficient guidance and support to help studentsovercome difficulties,improve their comprehensive language abilities,and maintain theirenthusiasm for learning.lll.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to master the expression of whole-hour time,count the quantity ofitems,and understand odd and even numbers through activities of watching,listening,speaking,and reading.They can review the numbers from 1 to 10 effectively through variousnumber-circling activities,and improve their reading comprehension,pronunciation,andintonation by understanding and performing the dialogue in the story.
