Unit1 Making Friends PartB Start to read说课稿Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!I am very glad to have the opportunity to present my teachingplan for Unit 1 Making Friends,the 6th period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching designfrom the following aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 6th-period lesson mainly focuses on a poster and a picture-story.The titles are "I ama good friend"and "My new friend Zoom",and the sub-topic is "Identifying key words aboutfriendship by reading".Through reading the poster,students will review the key vocabularyand sentence patterns of this unit and understand the criteria for being a good friend.Additionally,by reading the picture-story told by Zip about her new friend Zoom,studentswill learn that smiling,greeting,sharing,helping,and listening are important elements inmaking and maintaining friendships.This lesson serves as a comprehensive review andextension of the unit,integrating language learning with the cultivation of social-emotionalskills,which is crucial for students'language development and interpersonal relationshipbuilding.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAt this stage,students have already accumulated some basic English knowledge and skillsrelated to friendship from previous lessons.They are eager to apply what they have learnedin real-life-like situations.However,their reading comprehension ability,especially theability to extract key information from texts,still needs to be improved.Also,although theycan express simple ideas about friendship,they may lack the ability to systematicallysummarize and reflect on the qualities of a good friend.Moreover,students at this age aremore interested in vivid pictures,stories,and interactive activities.Therefore,in teaching,itis necessary to design diverse and engaging activities to meet their learning needs andpromote their active participation in the learning process.lll.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to review and consolidate the key vocabulary and sentence patterns ofthis unit through reading the poster,and use them correctly to describe friendly interactions.2.Cultural AwarenessUnderstand the cultural connotations of friendship -related behaviors and expressions inEnglish -speaking contexts,and respect different ways of expressing friendship3.Thinking Quality
