Unit 6 Is he your grandpa?"(Period 3:Wrap-upTime)Good morning/afternoon,esteemed interviewers!I am honored to present my teaching planfor the third period of "Unit 6 Is he your grandpa?",namely the "Wrap-up Time".This periodplays a crucial role in consolidating students'learning and deepening their understanding ofthe unit's theme.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from multiple aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThe"Wrap-up Time"of Unit 6 is composed of comprehensive learning activities "Talk aboutyour family"and "Think and share",along with the "Assessment Time"section.The "Talkabout your family"activity includes two parts:"Look,think and say"and "Show and say".In"Look,think and say",students are required to perceive the relationships among familymembers from different perspectives,master the English temms for family members,whichserves as a foundation for the subsequent activity.In"Show and say",students need to usethe language and cultural knowledge learned in this unit to guess and confirm the identitiesof each other's family members in the form of dialogue,further understanding thecomposition of big families and feeling the warmth and happiness within.The "Think and share"session guides students to review and summarize the learningcontent about "family members"in this unit and answer the Big Question,promoting in-depth thinking about the theme.The "Assessment Time"is a self-evaluation module thatechoes the Learning objectives in the Lead-in section.Students can conduct self-assessment according to specific criteria,which can be used as either a fommativeassessment during the learning process or a summative assessment at the end,helpingthem understand their learning progress and overall performance.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAs the review part of this unit,students have already mastered the expressions forintroducing family members to friends through previous lessons.Therefore,they areexpected to complete the consolidation activities in this period more smoothly.However,integrating and applying the learned knowledge comprehensively,especially expressing theirdeep-seated feelings about family,may still pose some challenges.Teachers need toprovide appropriate guidance and create more opportunities for students to practice andexpress.lll.Four -Dimensional Objectives of Core Competencies1.Language Competence:Students will review and organize the terms for family members,and be able to proficiently use the target language to inquire about and confirm theidentities of family members in dialogues,improving their language application ability inreal-life communication.
