Good morning/afternoon,esteemed interviewers.It is my great privilege to present myteaching plan for Lesson 3 of Unit 1,"Family",from the English textbook for Grade 3published by Beijing Normal University Press(starting from the third grade).Now,I willelaborate on my teaching design in detail.I.Analysis of Teaching MaterialThis Lesson 3 continues the theme of family.Building on the previous two lessons wherestudents learned about family members,it further expands on family -related content,suchas family members'occupations and hobbies,presented through dialogues and shortpassages.The key focus of this lesson is the study and application of the sentence patterns"He/She is...(occupation)"and "He/She likes...(hobby)".These patterns guide students todescribe family members more comprehensively,enhancing their understanding of familyand improving their overall English language proficiency.The content is closely related toreal-life situations,which effectively stimulates students'interest in learning and evokesemotional resonance,making the learning process more engaging and meaningful.ll.Analysis of StudentsAs third-grade students who are new to English leaming,they possess strong curiosity anda high level of enthusiasm for new knowledge.Their imitation ability is relatively good,whichis beneficial for learning pronunciation and sentence patterns.However,due to their limitedEnglish foundation,they may face difficulties in mastering new vocabulary and complexsentence structures.When learning words with similar pronunciations or complex sentencepatterns,some students may easily get confused.In addition,students have differentlearning abilities and paces.Some students may grasp new knowledge quickly,while othersmay need more time and practice.Therefore,in teaching,it is necessary to adopt diverseteaching methods to meet the needs of different students and help each student makeprogresslll.Four dimensional Goals of Core Competences1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to accurately read,write,pronounce,and understand vocabularyrelated to family members'occupations and hobbies,such as "teacher","doctor","nurse","driver","cook","read books","watch TV","play football",etc.They will master and skillfullyapply the sentence patterns "He/She is...(occupation)"and "He/She likes...(hobby)"todescribe family members in English,improving their listening,speaking,reading,and writingskills in related topics.2.Cultural AwarenessBy learning to describe family members'occupations and hobbies,students will understandthat different families have diverse characteristics,and family members play different roles.
