Good morning/afternoon,esteemed interviewers.I am truly honored to present my teachingplan for Lesson 2 of Unit 1,"Family",from the English textbook for Grade 3 published byBeijing Normal University Press(starting from the third grade).Now,I will systematicallyelaborate on my teaching design from multiple aspects.I.Analysis of Teaching MaterialThis Lesson 2,as a part of the "Family"unit,continues to explore the theme of family.Itbuilds on the foundation laid in Lesson 1,further deepening students'learning of familymembers.The key focus lies on the core vocabulary including "father","mother","brother","sister",and the sentence pattern "This is my...".Through vivid pictures and simpledialogues,the textbook guides students to introduce their family members in English,whichnot only enhances their language proficiency but also cultivates their awareness of family.The content is highly relevant to students'daily lives,making it easy for them to resonateemotionally and arouse their strong interest in learning.It serves as a crucial link in helpingstudents gradually master English expressions related to family and improving their practicallanguage application ability.ll.Analysis of StudentsThe third-grade students,who are just starting their English learning journey,arecharacterized by strong curiosity and excellent imitation abilities.However,they have alimited English foundation with a small vocabulary and underdeveloped oral expression skills.Fortunately,their existing cognitive understanding and emotional experience of family canfacilitate their learning of this lesson.Nevertheless,during the leaming process,they mayencounter difficulties such as inaccurate pronunciation of words and unskilled application ofsentence patterns.As teachers,we need to adopt diverse teaching methods and design richteaching activities to guide and assist them,helping each student overcome difficulties andmake progress in English learning.lll.Four-dimensional Goals of Core Competences1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to accurately read,write,pronounce,and understand the words "father","mother","brother","sister".They will also master and skillfully use the sentence pattern"This is my..."to introduce family members in English,improving their listening,speaking,reading,and writing skills related to family -related topics.2.Cultural AwarenessBy learning about family expressions in English and exploring different types of families,students will understand the diversity of family cultures around the world,fostering an open-minded and inclusive cultural attitude,and enhancing their cross-cultural communicationawareness.
