Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Part A Let'sTalk"in Unit 2 "Expressing Yourself"from the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 2 ofPeople's Education Edition. Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspectsI.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis "Let's Talk"section of the textbook centers around simple daily descriptions of thingsThe dialogue focuses on the topic of dogs, encompassing descriptions of a dog'scharacteristics, such as"Your dog is cute.","It has...","Dogs are friendly.",and "They canhelp us too."It also includes the question-answer pattern for inquiring about and expressingone's preference for dogs,"Do you like dogs?""Yes,I do."as well as sentences forexpressing one's opinion, like "Yes,that's right."The"Describe and Choose"activity further reinforces students'understanding andapplication of vocabulary used to describe animals.By matching pictures with correspondingtext descriptions, students are guided to identify and express different animal species andtheir characteristics. This lesson serves as a crucial step in enhancing students'languageproficiency, bridging the gap between vocabulary learning and practical communication, andlaying a solid foundation for more complex language expression in the future.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAs third-grade students, they have accumulated some basic English vocabulary and simplesentence patterns, but their language application ability in real-life situations remainslimited. They are more likely to understand and remember language materials presented invivid and interesting ways. The content of this lesson, with its theme of daily animal description,is highly relevant tostudents'real -life experiences, which can easily arouse their interest. However, while thedialogue in "Let's Talk"has a simple structure and uses common words, some students maystill struggle to flexibly apply the learned sentence patterns in actual communication.Theymight tend to memorize the dialogue mechanically rather than using it spontaneously. Moreover, when it comes to the "Describe and Choose"activity, students with differentlanguage proficiency levels may face varying degrees of difficulty in accurately matchingdescriptions with pictures and expressing themselves.lll.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to understand, recognize, and read vocabulary related to describingbody parts and characteristics of things,as well as master the sentence pattern "Do youlike...?"and its responses.2.Thinking Ability
