Unit 1 Meeting New People Part A Let's learn&Listen and chantDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Unit 1Meeting New People,"Part A"Let's Learn"from the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 2of People's Education Edition.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis "Let's Leam"section in Unit 1 is a vocabulary and sentence-focused lesson.Throughthe scenario of the teacher introducing two new classmates,Zhang Peng and Amy Green,inclass,it aims to reinforce students'ability to introduce their names and places of origin.Students are expected to master daily self-introduction expressions and practice the keysentence patterns of this lesson in an interactive context.By learning these dailycommunicative expressions,such as introducing where one is from,students canexperience the importance of polite language in communication with teachers and peers.This lesson serves as a fundamental part of the unit,laying a solid foundation for students'further study of English communication skills and deepening their understanding of basicEnglish expressions in real-life situations.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAs third-grade students,they are at the initial stage of in-depth English learning.Beforedelving into the key sentence patterns and vocabulary of the textbook,it is necessary tofamiliarize them with the relevant places and the intonation and common expressions usedin character introductions.At this age,students are full of curiosity and enthusiasm forlearning new things,but they may lack confidence in speaking English due to limitedlanguage accumulation and fear of making mistakes.Therefore,it is crucial to encouragethem to speak boldly,use what they have learned for character introductions andinteractions,and not only make progress in English learning but also enhance their self-confidence in real-life communication.Additionally,teachers need to pay close attention tostudents'pronunciation,help them overcome difficulties in imitation,and create a relaxedand supportive learning environment for them to communicate freely.lll.Four-Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to use the sentence patterns "I'm...I'm from..."to introduce themselvesin various situations,mastering the correct usage of relevant vocabulary and grammarstructures,and enhancing their basic language knowledge in self-introduction.2.Thinking AbilityGuide students to flexibly apply the leamed vocabulary and sentence patterns in practicalsituations,enabling them to camy out natural and fluent character introductions andexchanges.Through this process,improve the accuracy and fluency of their oral expression,
