Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Part B Let'stalk Play a guessing game"in Unit 5"Old toys"from the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 2 of People's Education Edition.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design fromthe following aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis teaching period focuses on developing students'English communication skills related totoys.In the "Let's talk"section,students will learn to use sentence patterns such as"Where is...?-It's...Is it...?-Yes,it is./No,it isn't."in real-life-like situations.The core ofthis part is to create a daily -life-oriented scene where students can learn new vocabularylike "on,""in,""shelf,""box,""cap"and relevant sentence patterns through dialogues.The "Play a guessing game"section is an extension of "Let's talk."It encourages students toimitate the dialogue examples,create their own situations,and play different roles.By doingso,students can use the learned English expressions about toys to communicate with eachother,which further deepens their understanding and mastery of toy -related knowledge andcorresponding English expressions.These two parts are closely linked,guiding studentsfrom language input to output,and promoting the improvement of their language applicationability.ll.Analysis of the StudentsFor third-grade students,they are at the initial stage of English leaming,with a limitedEnglish foundation but strong curiosity and a high willingness to imitate.The dialogue-based structure of this lesson,starting with a familiar life scene,can easily attract students'attention and arouse their resonance.The dialogues mainly use simple question-and-answer forms,and the sentence structures are simple,mostly simple sentences in dailycommunication,which are easy for students to understand and imitate.The "Play a guessing game"part provides an open-ended practice platform for students.Although it follows a similar dialogue logic to"Let's talk,"it still requires students to applylanguage knowledge flexibly in simulated situations.During the learning process,studentsmay encounter difficulties in pronunciation and language application.Therefore,teachersneed to pay attention to guiding students to overcome these difficulties,encourage them tospeak bravely,and help them improve their communication skillslll.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will understand the content of the"Let's talk"dialogue,accurately grasp the keyinformation,and learn common expressions related to toys.2.Thinking AbilityStudents will be able to imitate the dialogue structure and expression methods in "Let's talk,"and apply the learned words and sentence patterns in different situations.
