Dear esteemed judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great privilege to present my teaching plan for "Part ALet's Spell"in Unit 5 "Old Toys"from the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 2 of People'sEducation Edition.I will now elaborate on my teaching design from multiple aspectsI.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis teaching period centers on the pronunciation rule of the "u-e"letter combination inwords. It showcases words with the "u-e"combination,such as "cute,""use,""tube,""excuse,"and "mute".Through word presentation, pronunciation demonstrations, andengaging practice activities, students are guided to discover and summarize thepronunciation pattern of "u-e"in these words. They are then encouraged to apply this rulein word pronunciation and spelling, reinforcing their grasp of the phonetic rule. The textbook comes with vivid illustrations and simple rhyming contexts, which aid studentsin understanding word meanings and enhancing their memory of the pronunciation.Additionally,a series of listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises are included.Forexample, students are required to circle word cards upon hearing words, and to circle lettersand write words after listening to the audio. These exercises are designed to help studentsmaster the pronunciation rule proficiently and apply it to practical word recognition andspelling tasks.ll.Analysis of the StudentsFor third-grade students, they are at the initial stage of phonics learning, characterized bystrong curiosity but limited phonetic knowledge. The teaching approach of this lesson ishighly suitable for their cognitive development. It commences with an interesting rhymingchant, grouping words with the same pronunciation rule together. This enables students todiscover the commonalities in letter pronunciation while chanting, effectively capturing theirattention.Subsequently, through reading, listening, and word-circling activities, students are trainedto distinguish the pronunciation of the learned words. The oral practice section encouragesstudents to read words aloud and exchange their experiences of pronunciation, facilitatingtheir internalization of knowledge. Finally, the writing tasks, starting from simple copying oflearned words and gradually advancing to spelling new words according to the pronunciationrule, follow a step-by-step progression that aligns with students'language learning andcognitive processes. However, due to individual differences, some students may still facedifficulties in accurately pronouncing words or applying the rule flexibly in real-lifecommunication scenarios.Ill.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language Knowledge
