Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Part B Readand write Reading time"in Unit 4"Healthy food"from the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 2 of People's Education Edition.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design fromthe following aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis teaching period focuses on reading and writing,consisting of two main parts:"Read andwrite"and "Reading time".In the "Read and write"section,it presents short reading texts andwriting exercises.The reading texts revolve around the theme of healthy foods,discussingwhich foods are beneficial,which should be consumed in moderation,and which arenecessary for daily intake.Alongside,it includes simple reading comprehension tasks,suchas circling foods in pictures and choosing the correct words to complete sentences,to helpstudents understand the text content.The"Reading time"part offers a more interesting reading material-a story about the healthyfoods that small animals like.This story enables students to understand that the concept ofhealthy foods can vary from person to person,further expanding their understanding of thehealthy food topic.These two parts together not only enhance students'reading and writingskills but also deepen their knowledge of healthy eating.ll.Analysis of the StudentsFor third-grade students,they are still in the early stage of building their English foundation.The structure of this lesson is well -organized to match their cognitive development.The"Read and write"part follows a "reading text comprehension exercises writing practice"pattern.It starts by introducing the topic through reading,then checks students'understanding with exercises,and finally reinforces the learning of words and sentencewriting with writing tasks,which is in line with the general learning cognitive law.The "Reading time"part uses a narrative structure with a story.The vivid and interestingstory content,combined with simple and easy-to-understand sentences,can easily attractstudents'attention and is suitable for their comprehension level.However,due to differencesin individual language learning abilities,some students may still face difficulties inunderstanding complex sentences and new words,and may struggle with expressingthemselves accurately when retelling stories.lll.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to understand the short passages in "Read and write",comprehend thedescribed healthy foods and the reasons for choosing them,and accurately extract keyinformation to complete related reading comprehension tasks.2.Thinking Ability
