Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Part B Let'stalk Role-play"in Unit 4"Healthy food"of the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 2,People's Education Edition. Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspectsI.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis teaching period focuses on the core topic of healthy food, with the main content dividedinto two parts:"Let's talk"and "Role-play".In the "Let's talk"section,a vivid daily life sceneis created where Mom and Ally Green have a meal at home.Through their dialogue, students learn key vocabulary such as "rice,""meat,""vegetable,"and new sentencepatterns like "Would you like..."and "They're good for you."This part not only impartslanguage knowledge but also subtly conveys the concept of healthy eating.The"Role-play"part serves as an extension of"Let's talk".It encourages students to imitatethe dialogue model, create their own contexts, and play different roles.By using the learnedEnglish expressions related to food and health, students can practice and deepen theirunderstanding and application of the knowledge, bridging the gap between classroomlearning and real-life communication.ll.Analysis of the StudentsThird-grade students are in the initial stage of English learning, with a strong curiosity butlimited language foundation. The dialogue-based text structure of this lesson is highlysuitable for them. The familiar life-scene introduction in "Let's talk"easily captures students'attention and triggers their resonance. The simple question-and-answer format andstraightforward sentence structures in the dialogue are easy for students to understand andimitate, reducing the learning difficulty. The "Role-play"part,as an open-ended practice, allows students to make personalizedlanguage outputs within a certain framework.Although the basic dialogue logic remainssimilar,it provides enough space for students to apply the learned knowledge flexibly. However, due to individual differences in learning abilities and personalities, some studentsmay face challenges in creating diverse dialogues and expressing themselves fluently indifferent situations.lll.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to understand and read common English expressions of healthy foods, master their correct pronunciations, and comprehend their meanings.2.Thinking AbilityStudents will understand the content of the "Let's talk"dialogue, recognize the benefits ofvarious foods for health, extract key information from the dialogue, and learn commonexpressions related to healthy food topics.
