Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for"Part A Let'sspell"in Unit 4 "Healthy food"from the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 2 of People'sEducation Edition. Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the following aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis teaching period mainly focuses on the pronunciation rules of the "o-e"lettercombination in words.By presenting words containing the "o-e"combination,such as"Jones,""home,""cone,""hope,""joke,"etc.,through word listing, pronunciationdemonstrations, and interesting practice activities, students are guided to discover andsummarize the pronunciation rules of the"o-e"letter combination in these words. They arethen encouraged to apply these rules in word spelling and pronunciation, strengthening theirmastery of the pronunciation patterns. The textbook is equipped with vivid pictures and simple rhyming contexts, which helpstudents understand the meanings of words and reinforce their memory of thepronunciations.Additionally, corresponding listening, speaking, reading, and writingexercises are designed. For example, activities like circling word cards when hearing words, circling letters and writing words after listening to the audio, are included. These exercisesenable students to proficiently master the pronunciation rules and apply them in actual wordrecognition and spelling, integrating language learning with practical skills.ll.Analysis of the StudentsFor third-grade students, they are in the stage of gradually building their English phoneticawareness. This lesson adopts an interesting rhyming chant introduction.By presentingwords with the same pronunciation rule in a chant titled "Eat less junk food!",students candiscover the commonalities in letter pronunciation while chanting.Subsequently, throughauxiliary methods such as reading, listening, and circling words, students are required todistinguish the pronunciations of the learned words. In the oral practice session, students are encouraged to read words aloud and exchangetheir feelings about the pronunciations. Finally, writing tasks are set, starting from simplecopying of learned words and gradually transitioning to spelling new words according to thepronunciation rules. This step -by-step approach aligns with students'cognitive laws andlanguage learning processes. However, due to differences in individual learning abilities andpersonalities, some students may face challenges in accurately grasping the pronunciationrules, and introverted students may be less involved in group activities.lll.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to accurately recognize and read words containing the"o-e"lettercombination and clearly distinguish the pronunciation of the "o-e"letter combination inthese words.
