Dear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for "Part A Let'sSpell"in Unit 3"Learning better"from the English textbook for Grade 3,Volume 2 ofPeople's Education Edition. Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspectsI.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis teaching period focuses on the pronunciation rules of words containing the "i-e"lettercombination.The teaching unfolds through a discourse scenario where two students aremaking a kite.Sentences with words like "kite","write","nine","nice","five"are presented.Students are guided to read and chant these sentences repeatedly to feel the pronunciationof these words in context. With the help of pictures, real objects, and simple situational descriptions, students canunderstand the meanings of words and sentences, thus realizing the connection betweenpronunciation and word spelling. The textbook also designs various practice tasks, such asmarking words upon listening, writing words correctly according to the audio. These tasksenable students to reinforce their memory and application of the pronunciation rules inpractice, laying a solid foundation for their phonetic learning and word-building ability.ll.Analysis of the StudentsFor third-grade students, they are at the initial stage of systematic phonetic learning.Theteaching structure of this lesson is highly systematic and logical, which is very suitable fortheir cognitive level. The clear title"Let's Spell"immediately clarifies the learning goal for students.Theintegration of "i-e"words into the "Make a kite"situational discourse uses simple, commonwords closely related to students'daily lives, making it easy for them to understand andaccept. The subsequent practice activities, including listening exercises where studentschoose the heard words, reading exercises for mimicking pronunciation, and writingexercises for spelling words correctly, are arranged in a progressive manner. This step -by-step approach gradually deepens students'mastery of pronunciation rules. However, due todifferences in learning ability and language sensitivity, some students may still struggle toapply these rules independently and accurately in real-time communication.lll.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language KnowledgeStudents will be able to identify and perceive the pronunciation rules of the"i-e"lettercombination in words, and understand the meanings of words containing "i-e".2.Thinking AbilityBased on the learned pronunciation rules, students will independently complete listening, reading, and writing tasks as guided by textbook projects, and use these words naturally insimple conversations.
