Unit6 Usefulnumbers第2课时PartALettersandsoundsDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for Unit 6 UsefulNumbers,the 2nd period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 2nd-period lesson focuses on the "Letters and Sounds"section,which is divided intofour sub-sections:"Listen,repeat and chant","Listen and circle the first sound","Listen andcircle the last sound",and "Write and say".In the "Listen,repeat and chant"part,studentsare guided to listen,speak,and read the pronunciations of letters W,Ww,Xx,Yy,Zz,and tounderstand and pronounce words beginning or ending with these letters.The "Listen andcircle the first sound"and "Listen and circle the last sound"sections help students reinforcethe pronunciation of these letters in words by listening to the initial and final sounds of words.The "Write and say"section is designed to teach students how to write the uppercase andlowercase forms of these five letters correctly.This lesson plays a crucial role in enhancingstudents'phonetic awareness,laying a solid foundation for their correct pronunciation,spelling,and writing of English words,and further deepening their understanding of theEnglish language system.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAt this stage,students have already learned some basic English letters and simple words.However,when it comes to the precise pronunciation of new letters and their sounds inwords,as well as the correct writing fommat of letters,they still face challenges.Their existingphonetic knowledge is relatively fragmented,and they may have difficulties in distinguishingsimilar sounds and remembering the correct stroke order of letters.Although students areinterested in learning new knowledge,they may lack effective learning methods andstrategies.They are more likely to be engaged in learning activities that are interesting,interactive,and visually appealing.Therefore,in teaching,it is necessary to adopt diverseteaching methods,use rich teaching resources,and design engaging activities to meetstudents'learning needs,stimulate their interest,and help them overcome difficulties inphonetic learning.lll.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to perceive,summarize,and master the pronunciations of letters W,Ww,Xx,Yy,Zz and their corresponding sounds in words through rhythmic chants,sound-segmenting activities,and other phonetic training exercises.They will also be able to writethese letters correctly,following the standard writing requirements,thereby enhancing theirbasic language skills in pronunciation and writing.2.Cultural Awareness
