Unit5 Thecolourfulworld第3课时PartBLet'stalk&let'sleamDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for Unit 5 TheColorful World,the 3rd period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 3rd-period lesson is an integrated class of "Let's talk"and "Let's learn"in Part B,whichbuilds upon the knowledge of colors introduced in Part A while offering new perspectivesand leaming opportunities."Let's learn"presents color vocabulary of common objects indaily life,differentiating from the colors of natural objects in Part A.It helps studentsunderstand that colors have diverse meanings and play various roles in our lives."Let's talk"depicts a scenario where Chen Jie and Sarah discuss their favorite colors while painting.Through this context,students are guided to use the core sentence pattern"What colours doyou like?I like...."to communicate about their color preferences and make simplesuggestions.The illustrations,which transition from natural landscapes to urban scenes,reflect the shift from focusing on natural colors in Part A to daily -life colors in Part B.Thisintegration not only enriches students'vocabulary related to colors but also enhances theirability to express personal opinions and communicate in real-life-like situations,furtherdeepening their understanding of the theme "The Colorful World".ll.Analysis of the StudentsStudents have already learned some basic color vocabulary in Part A of this unit,so they arenot completely unfamiliar with color-related expressions.However,when it comes to usingmore complex sentence patterns to express their preferences and communicate with others,they may face challenges.Their language proficiency in terms of accurate pronunciation,fluent expression,and appropriate application of vocabulary still needs improvement.Additionally,although they are interested in topics related to daily life,they may lack theability to connect the learned knowledge with real-life scenarios independently.At thisstage,students are eager to express themselves but may lack confidence in using English.Therefore,in teaching,it is crucial to create engaging and practical learning situations,provide sufficient opportunities for practice,and use diverse teaching methods to stimulatetheir interest,help them overcome difficulties,and improve their English communicationskills regarding color-related topics.lll.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to master the expressions of describing objects with colors in the textthrough pictures,audio-visual materials,and activities such as watching,listening,speaking,and imitating.They can understand,recognize,and read new color-related vocabulary,anduse the core sentence pattern "What colours do you like?I like...."to accurately ask about
