Unit4 Plantsaroundus第3课时PartBLet'stalk&Let'sleamDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for Unit 4 Plantsaround us,the 3rd period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspectsI.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 3rd-period lesson encompasses the key contents of "Part B Let's learn Let's talk"inthis unit,with "Listen and chant"and "Look and discuss"serving as auxiliary sections.In"Let's learn",there are six key nouns and one functional sentence pattern.Some of thewords are already familiar to students,and all these nouns represent things commonlyknown in students'daily lives.The theme revolves around plants and their growingconditions.The "Let's talk"section mainly enables students to learn the core sentencepattern "How can we help?We can...."through a dialogue set in the context of building agreen campus.The"Listen and chant"part reinforces the key vocabulary with rhythmic andmelodious songs,creating a relaxed and pleasant learning atmosphere that can effectivelyarouse students'interest.The "Look and discuss"section encourages students to extractkey sentence patterns while broadening their thinking through picture-based discussions.This lesson integrates vocabulary learning,sentence-pattern acquisition,andenvironmental awareness cultivation,playing a crucial role in enhancing students'languageproficiency and environmental protection consciousness.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAt the third-grade level,students have accumulated some basic English vocabulary andsimple sentence-pattern knowledge.They are curious about the world around them andhave a certain understanding of daily-life topics.However,when it comes to learning newvocabulary related to plants and environmental protection and using complex sentencepatterns to express ideas,they may encounter difficulties.English expression in this contextrequires not only language skills but also relevant background knowledge and thinking ability.Moreover,their attention span is relatively short,and they are more likely to be engaged inlearning activities that are vivid,interesting,and closely related to their lives.Therefore,inteaching,it is necessary to design teaching activities that combine practicality with fun,use avariety of visual and auditory teaching resources,and create real-life-like situations to helpstudents overcome language difficulties,stimulate their learning enthusiasm,and improvetheir comprehensive language-using ability.Ill.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to recognize six key vocabulary words related to plants and theirgrowing conditions through pictures,audio-visual materials,and master the core sentencepattern "How can we help?We can...."They can imitate the correct pronunciation andintonation when listening to recordings or watching videos,improving their oral English skills.
