Unit4 Plantsaroundus第1课时PartALet'stalk&Let'sleamDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for Unit 4 Plantsaround us,the 1st period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from the followingaspectsI.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 1st-period lesson of Unit 4 focuses on the theme "Plants around us"and covers thecontent of "Unit 4 Part A Let's talk"and "Let's learn"."Let's talk"is a daily-life dialogue.Thetextbook depicts a scene where Miss White takes Mike and Wu Binbin to a farm toexperience the fun of apple-picking.During the process,Wu Binbin and Mike discuss theirfavorite fruits:Mike likes apples,while Wu Binbin prefers bananas.They also express theirlove for the famm and their feelings about the fresh air there."Let's learn"is another dailylife dialogue,which shows John being invited to Wu Binbin's home,and the two start aconversation about their favorite fruits.In these dialogues,key vocabulary such as "banana","apple","orange","grape"and their plural fomms,as well as the key sentence pattern "Do youlike...?No,I don't.are presented.Through leaming these contents,students are expectedto master fruit nouns and their plural fomms,learn to ask others about and express their ownpreferences for fruits,and develop the awareness and habits of a healthy life.This lessonserves as an introduction to the unit,laying a solid foundation for students to further explorethe topic of plants and enhancing their language skills in daily communication.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAs third-grade students,they have accumulated some basic English knowledge andlearning experience.They are curious about the world around them and have a certaininterest in daily-life topics such as fruits.However,their English vocabulary is still limited,and they may have difficulties in correctly pronouncing new words and using sentencepatterns in real-life communication.Moreover,at this age,their attention span is relativelyshort,and they are more likely to be attracted by vivid and interesting teaching activities.Although they show strong enthusiasm for learning and are eager to express themselves,they may lack confidence and skills in English speaking and communication.Therefore,inteaching,it is necessary to design teaching activities that are full of fun,practicality,andinteractivity,use a variety of teaching methods and resources,and create real-life-likesituations to stimulate their interest in learning,help them overcome difficulties,and improvetheir English language proficiency.Ill.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to recognize the names of various fruits and express their personalpreferences for fruits through pictures,audio-visual materials.They can also use thesentence pattern "Do you like...?"and its responses correctly in listening,speaking,andreading activities to communicate about fruit preferences with others.
