Unit3第6课时PartBStart to read&PatCDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for Unit 3Amazing Animals,the 6th period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from thefollowing aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 6th-period lesson aligns with the first-level requirements of the Curriculum Standard.According to the first-level target description,students are expected to be able tounderstand sentences with the help of pictures,read short sentences or paragraphs,andcomplete post-reading activities.The main content of this lesson focuses on introducing thecharacteristics of animals.In previous lessons,students have initially learned how todescribe animal characteristics,such as "It's cute."However,new words like "giraffe","tall","fast"need to be emphasized during learning.The "Reading time"section still focuses onintroducing amazing animals,but it shifts from the singular form to the plural fom.Sincestudents have already been exposed to plural forms in the second unit,the difficulty level isrelatively reduced.This lesson serves as a comprehensive consolidation and improvement,integrating vocabulary leaming,reading comprehension,and language expression,aiming toenhance students'overall English language proficiency regarding animal-related topics.ll.Analysis of the StudentsBy this stage,students have accumulated a certain amount of English knowledge andvocabulary related to animals from previous lessons.They have some basic language skillsin introducing animals,but when it comes to dealing with new words and more complexdescriptions of animal characteristics,as well as reading and understanding texts with pluralforms,they may still face challenges.Moreover,although students are interested in animal-related content,maintaining their concentration during reading and writing activities can bedifficult.Therefore,in teaching,it is necessary to design interesting and interactive teachingactivities,create real-life-like situations,and use various teaching resources to guidestudents to actively participate in learning,help them overcome difficulties,and furtherimprove their language-using ability.lll.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to review and consolidate the application of key adjectives andsentence patterns,improve their reading fluency of the text,and accurately use language todescribe animal characteristics and express their own ideas.2.Cultural AwarenessUnderstand the diversity of animals in different cultures,recognize the importance ofprotecting all kinds of animals,and enhance their awareness of environmental protectionand cultural respect related to animals.
