Unit 3 Part B Let's talk Play hand shadowsDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It is my great honor to present my teaching plan for Unit 3Amazing Animals,the 4th period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from thefollowing aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 4th-period lesson focuses on "B Let's talk",which mainly enables students to perceiveand leam the semantic meaning and pragmatic functions of the core sentence pattern"What's this/that?It's a(n)..."through activities of visiting a zoo.Then,students can use thispattern naturally in real-life situations.As an important part of language learning,this lessonhelps students expand their vocabulary related to animals,such as "fox","red panda","cute","this","that",and improve their oral communication ability in the context of introducing anddescribing animals.It not only deepens students'understanding of the English language butalso strengthens their connection with real-world scenarios,playing a crucial role inpromoting students'comprehensive English language proficiency within this unit.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAt this stage,third-grade students have accumulated some basic English vocabulary andsimple sentence patterns.They are full of curiosity about the outside world,especiallyanimals,which provides a good foundation for learning this lesson.However,their ability touse English for communication in practical situations is still limited.They may havedifficulties in accurately using new vocabulary and sentence patterns to express theirthoughts.Moreover,their attention is easily distracted,and they prefer learning through vividand interesting activities.Therefore,in teaching,it is necessary to design engaging teachingactivities,create real-life-like situations,and guide students to actively participate inlanguage learning to improve their learning efficiency and language-using ability.lll.Four Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to listen,speak,understand,and use words like "fox","red panda","cute","this","that"with the help of pictures,teachers,and peers.They can also listen to,speak,read,and apply the core functional sentence pattern "What's this/that?It's a..."tointroduce and briefly describe animals in meaningful contexts,enhancing their oralcommunication skills.2.Cultural AwarenessUnderstand the importance of animals in different cultures and the significance of protectinganimals,thereby cultivating students'awareness of respecting and protecting nature andenhancing their cross-cultural understanding related to animals.3.Thinking Quality
