Unit2第3课时PartBLet'stalk&Let'sleamDear judges,Good [morning/afternoon]!It's my great honor to present my teaching plan for Unit 2Different Families,the 3rd period.Now,I will elaborate on my teaching design from thefollowing aspects.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThis 3rd-period lesson is a vocabulary and speaking class with the sub-topic "Talk abouthow families are different".The lesson starts with Sarah inviting Chen Jie to her home andintroducing her family members,which serves as the context for learning.Students havealready learned the sentence patterns "Who is this?This is..."and the words for some familymembers like "father","mother","grandfather","grandmother",and "me"in Part A.Thus,they are familiar with the basic sentence patterns for inquiring about and introducing familymembers.This lesson builds on that foundation by expanding to "Who is that?That is..."and"Is this/Is that...?Yes,it is./No,it isn't."sentence patterns.With a relatively large amount ofnew content,it's crucial for teachers to focus on the transfer and application of old and newknowledge when designing teaching procedures.This lesson plays a vital role in enrichingstudents'vocabulary related to family members and enhancing their oral communicationskills about family topics.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAt this stage,students have a certain foundation in English learning,especially in terms ofbasic sentence patterns and vocabulary related to family members.They are eager to learnmore and expand their language knowledge.However,the new sentence patternsintroduced in this lesson,such as the use of "this"and "that"as demonstrative pronouns andthe affirmative and negative answers of general questions starting with "Is this/Is that",maypose challenges for them.Some students may struggle with the correct usage andpronunciation.Also,students at this age learn better through vivid and interactive activities.Therefore,teaching should be designed to be engaging and practical to meet their learningneeds and help them overcome difficulties.Ill.Four -Dimensional Goals of Core Competencies1.Language AbilityStudents will be able to learn and master more English words for family members throughpictures,audio-video materials,and be able to accurately name different family members.They can use "This is"and "I have"sentence patterns to introduce their family members anduse "Is this/that...?Yes,it is./No,it isn't."sentence patterns to inquire about others'familyrelationships.2.Cultural Awareness
