Let's be friends!"(Second Period-Speed up)Good morning/afternoon,distinguished judges!I am honored to present my teaching plan forthe second period of "Let's be friends!"from Unit 1.I will elaborate on this plan from eightaspects:teaching material analysis,student profile,teaching objectives,key and difficultpoints,teaching methods,learning methods,teaching procedures,and blackboard design.I.Teaching Material AnalysisThis second-period lesson,"Speed up,"is a continuation of the first period in Unit 1 "Let'sbe friends!".It further deepens students'understanding of self-introduction and introducingothers.The lesson mainly focuses on new vocabulary and sentence patterns presentedthrough vivid pictures and story -based scenarios.These elements not only enrich students'vocabulary but also enhance their ability to use English in real -life communication.Thestory -based teaching content provides a context for students to practice language,helpingthem better master the target language and understand the cultural connotations of makingfriends in English -speaking environments.ll.Student ProfileThe students have already learned the basic self-introduction and friend-introducingsentence patterns in the first period.They have shown great enthusiasm for English learningand are more confident in expressing themselves.However,when it comes to using thesesentence patterns flexibly in different situations and combining them with new vocabulary,they still face challenges.At this stage,students are eager to explore more Englishknowledge and are willing to participate in various classroom activities.Therefore,theteaching design should focus on creating more interactive and practical activities to meettheir learning needs.lll.Teaching Objectives1.Language Ability:Students can listen,speak,read,and recognize the key words of thislesson and use the sentence patterns "I'm/He's/We're..."proficiently to introducethemselves and their friends.2.Cultural Awareness:Students can introduce themselves and others politely andappropriately,understanding the basic etiquette of making friends in English-speakingcultures.3.Thinking Quality:Through role-playing and real-life scenarios,students can improvetheir thinking ability in using English for communication and problem -solving.4.Leamning Ability:Students can actively participate in classroom activities,bravely try toexpress themselves in English,and improve their independent learning and cooperativelearning abilities.
