Unit 7 Happy Birthday"(Period 3:Wrap -up Time)Good morning/afternoon,esteemed interviewers!It is my great privilege to present theteaching plan for the third period of "Unit 7 Happy Birthday",namely the "Wrap-up Time".Inthis presentation,I will meticulously elaborate on my teaching design from multiple aspects,aiming to showcase a well-structured and effective learning experience for students.I.Analysis of the Teaching MaterialThe "Wrap-up Time"of Unit 7 is composed of two main parts:the comprehensive learningactivities "Talk about birthdays"and "Think and share",along with the "Assessment Time"section.The "Talk about birthdays"activity consists of "A.Listen and circle"and "B.Drawand say".In"A.Listen and circle",students are required to focus on the theme of "talkingabout ages and birthday gifts".Based on what they have learned in the unit,they need tocircle the ages of different characters and the comresponding birthday gifts according to thelistening content.This activity helps students reinforce their understanding of ageexpressions and vocabulary related to gifts.In"B.Draw and say",students are encouraged to feel the love from their families in thecontinuation of the topic.They are asked to think about what they want to do for their familymembers on their birthdays,present their ideas through drawing,and then communicatewith their classmates.This activity enables students to practice the learned language in amultimodal way,talk about birthdays,and experience the joy of celebrating birthdays.The "Think and share"session guides students to review and summarize the learningcontent about "birthday celebrations"in this unit and respond to the Big Question,promotingtheir in-depth thinking about the theme.The "Assessment Time"is a self-evaluationmodule that corresponds to the Learning objectives in the Lead-in section.Students canevaluate themselves according to specific criteria,which can be used as either a formativeassessment during the learning process or a summative assessment at the end,helpingthem understand their learning progress and overall performance.ll.Analysis of the StudentsAs the third lesson of this unit,students have already grasped some birthday -relatedvocabulary and sentence patterns through previous leaming and can obtain information byobserving pictures.However,there are still challenges for them.For instance,accurately andfluently using key sentence patterns in daily communication,deeply understanding theemotional connotations in the context of birthday celebrations,and expressing their love andgratitude through both language and actions.Teachers need to pay attention to guidingstudents to enhance their emotional expression,use polite language appropriately,andimprove their comprehensive language application ability.Ill.Four-Dimensional Objectives of Core Competencies
